I love these handmade pans, they’re both beautiful and functional. So great that they can be used on the fire, in the oven or on the stovetop - their versatility is so handy! Knowing I can hand these pans down to my kids makes them super special. Definitely a worthwhile investment which will last lifetimes!

I stumbled across the Toolroom pans when camping with a friend. He threw the pan directly on the fire and everything we cooked came out with a beautiful char.The pan created such an even distribution of heat and so easy to handle. A beautifully crafted piece for inside and outside the kitchen. My other pans have been long forgotten at the back of the cupboard. And, the best part, no soap required when washing allowing the natural oils to build up a layer of protection. As a chef by trade this pan is a piece of gear I now take onto every job. It’s an absolute favourite.

Love their handmade pans and they are the best for outdoor cooking

I have tried out all the different pans, and they are all great in their own right. My favourite thing about the pans is that you can use them on fire and elevate any outdoor meal to something gourmet. The pans are also really easy on the eyes, which is great for anyone who takes pics of food. Highly recommend.

We love using our pans, the smallest is the best for a quick fried egg or scrambled , perfect weight for me, the large tray roasting pan works a dream if you want your meat nice and crispy! Beautifully made.

Couldn’t be happier with these. We bought the Combo 2 set, the roasting pan and recently added the XL lid. They’ve all been brilliant.

Whether it’s frying eggs, the occasional flapjacks for breakfast, searing a steak or making a paella, these are our go-to tools for cooking over the fire. They’re tough, heat evenly and are an absolute pleasure to cook with. The XL lid has been a fantastic addition too, it keeps the heat in beautifully and makes bigger or slower cooks so much easier.

Simply the best! I love my pans and use them seamlessly between braai and stove. Would purchase again if I ever needed to, but I'm guessing these will outlast me.

I have made my way through many pans. All the promises, high tech coatings, precise heating instructions, and then some. Going back to basics has never been sweeter. The big skillet is my new best friend when it comes to cook pretty much anything. Yes, it is heavy, but that is to be expected of a piece of forged art. And wait till you turn out that first steak...Thank you to all at The Tool Room for crafting something beautiful enough to go on the wall, yet by far the best piece of kit to grace our kitchen. Second order on the way!

Beautiful pans by @thetoolroom_za which allowed us to braised all the shoulders on the fire... which was useful with no electricity.

Note: if you are wondering about my favourite roasting tin pictured here, it’s made by my friend and incredibly talented artist/blacksmith, Conrad Hicks. This is my probably the most used item in my kitchen.
